This is a brief overview of Shared Micromobility in Australia in January 2024. Based on preliminary numbers from Zipidi, vehicle numbers have increased by 60% since February 2022.
Beam has grown its vehicle numbers in every state, while Lime has performed well with scooters in Melbourne and used bikes to establish a foothold elsewhere. Neuron is focusing mostly on larger markets.
Significant change is likely as most major markets will be retendered or announced in 2024. We expect significant growth in Victoria and NSW in 2024. Stay tuned for Zipidi’s upcoming series of stories, State by State, Operator by Operator, and overall.
